Mallorca 2018

The club trip to Mallorca earlier in the year was a huge success so we are repeating the event in 2018. Our base, once again, is Puerto Pollensa an ideal location to access the Tramuntana mountains at the same time providing options for easier rides in the central plain and coastal areas. Popular with pro-teams and recreational riders, Mallorca really is the perfect destination for cyclists of all standards. Hope you can join us in cycling paradise! And non-cycling partners are very welcome too.

Dates and Accomodation
Seven nights stay at the excellent 4-star Hotel Hoposa Uyal from Sunday 29thApril to Sunday 6th May. A number of rooms have been pre-booked by the club and the cost works out at about €457 per person on a B&B basis when room sharing. The centre of Puerto Pollensa is just 10 to 15 minutes’ walk from the Hotel and has a good selection of restaurants and bars.

Flights
This year we traveled with BA from Heathrow to Palma. The BA website is currently showing return flights at a cost of £200 with checked-in luggage. There are cheaper, if less convenient, flights with other carriers. Suggest we look at all options and aim to book flights before the end of September.

Bikes 
Half the group took their own bikes as luggage on the flight and the rest of us hired locally. There are four hire companies just a short walk from the hotel.

If you do decide to hire is important to book early as demand for bikes in April / May is very high.
