Mallorca 2019

Mallorca is a popular post winter destination for cyclists and a trip to the Island has become a regular event on the TCC calendar.

 

For 2019 the dates are Sunday 28th April to Sunday 5th May. Once again, the club will be based at the Hotel Hoposa Uyal in Puerto Pollensa and I have booked a limited number of double rooms (side sea view, twin beds) at a cost of €932.26 on a B&B basis or €466.13 each when room sharing.

The preferred flight option is BA from T5 Heathrow. The price currently being quoted on the BA website is £174.90 for a return flight with 23kg checked-in luggage (that could be a bike box with personal items).
 

On past events around half the group take a bike box while the rest hire bikes locally. There are five bike hire shops within a ten-minute walk from the hotel.

If you do decide to hire is important to book early as demand for bikes in April / May is very high.
