On Saturday 31st August the Club will be riding the elevation of Mount Everest, in aid of Helen and Douglas House. This is an Oxfordshire based children’s hospice where club member Morag works. The intention is to get the membership (all/some?) to ride up Aston Hill 76 times in one day. This equals the height of Everest. Obviously the more members that reach the summit the less each volunteer will have to do!
We are aiming for a target of £2000 and hope that most of our members can attract some sponsorship and climb the hill repeatedly!
We will have a group justgiving page and we will be seeking donations from beyond the club.
We will encourage non-members to have a go (allowing us to summit Everest twice with a huge bit of luck!) and they would pay a small charitable fee for the pleasure.ce where club member Morag works.
